For each side, the marginal utility is what is received is greater than the marginally utility of what is given up, This is the source of wealth creation and the magic that makes markets work. We need more billionaires delivering value to millions or billions of people, not fewer.

You're argument that the middle class is shirking because a lot of people are becoming poorer is flat wrong. More people have risen UP out of the middle class than have fallen DOWN into poverty. There are people in America who are poor because of the conditions they were born into. Very few of them are authors on Medium. If Medium authors are poor they have few people to blame other than themselves.
